Secret Sisters Women's Ministry (Ongoing)

Secret sisters is about blessing, encouraging, supporting, and edifying one another in prayer as well as with personal notes, cards, and small thoughtful gifts. 

Reveal Date and Luncheon will be held on May 11th. 

 
April 27 - Communion Service

Let us prepare our hearts to seek the Lord in an even closer way as we remember the atonement of our Lord in our lives. 

 
May 11 - Fellowship Luncheon

Everyone is invited to join us for a delicious meal and visit with each other.

 

June 2024 - Camp Meeting

Summer camp meeting will be held at Blue Mountain academy. Ted Wilson will be joining us. He is the President of the World Seventh-day Adventist Church. John Bradshaw the Director/Speaker of It Is Written will also be a featured speaker this year.

Ralph Shellhammer 

 

 

 


Ralph Paul Shellhammer, 75, of North Apollo, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Born Feb. 16, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ralph L. Shellhammer and Patricia J. (Raub) Shellhammer. Ralph was a 1967 graduate of Apollo High School and served our country for 26 years in the United States Navy. During his service, he served on over eight naval vessels and at nine naval station assignments throughout the United States and one overseas in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. After his U.S. Naval retirement in 1996, Ralph worked at Hanson Gravel Company in New Kensington for 18 years, retiring in 2015.

 

Ralph was an active member of the Washington Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church and was an instrumental member. Ralph and his wife, Wendy, enjoyed spending time with their family and many weekends at the family camp. Ralph loved cars and enjoyed working on them.

 

He loved hunting and he loved traveling while in the Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John E. Shellhammer. Ralph is survived by his wife, Wendy (Moore) Shellhammer; son, Brandon (Michelle) Shellhammer; daughters, Heather Holmes, Kaley (Tim) Zundel; grandchildren, Brenden (Katie) Shellhammer, Kyra Shellhammer, Ariel (Brendan) Cruzan, and Lyla Zundel; great-grandson, Gage Cruzan; his brother, Daniel (Mary) Shellhammer; brother-in-law, Tim (Kathy) Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Friends and family will be received at the Washington Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 1641 Washington Road, Apollo, on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 3:15 p.m. with Catherine and Moses Sosigian officiating.

 

Following the service, military honors will be accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard. The family invites you to stay for a meal in honor of Ralph following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ralph's memory to the following charities he supported annually in honor of fellow military veterans, Wounded Warrior, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust, and the Gary Sinise Foundation. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
