Who We Are

Who We Are

Washington Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church is a small, local body of believers affiliated with the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist church.

All members alike share the same passion and love for our Creator.

It is our desire to teach   everyone the precious truths of God's word, bringing them to a saving knowledge of Christ. (Matt 28:20; 1 Tim. 2:4; 2 Tim. 3:15John 8:322 Pet. 1:12)

Our goal is to help those within our surrounding communities grow in their walk with Christ. (Heb. 3:13, 10:25)

As a body of believers, it is necessary to keep these plans in view. For this reason, we've outlined our purpose in our official mission statement, which reads as follows:

Church Mission Statement:

"The Washington Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church is a God-centered, Bible-based, loving, accepting family with an open door policy for all people.

Our congregation is composed of everyday people from different backgrounds and races who meet people where they are at, reach them for Christ, teach them truths and spiritual principles to live by from the Bible and by God's grace elevate their lifestyle.

Our purpose for existence is to fulfill the Great Commission (Matt. 28:16-20), and give them the Three Angels Message (Rev. 14:6-12) in the surrounding communities we serve.

In Christ's strength we intend to be a city of refuge for the churched and unchurched, young and old, men and women, boys and girls.

By extending a helping hand to those in need, whether it be mentally, physically, or spiritually, and prepare them, along with ourselves, for the coming of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ (Lk 4:18-19)."
